Who are we, and why did we found sense of sailing?
We founded sense-of-sailing out of pleasure!
It is the joy we feel when we can make our passion for sailing and for life on the water accessible and achievable for others.
It is also the joy to pass on our knowledge, which has grown over 15 years of experience, to interested parties.
With it, it is not just "exactly this bay" or "in this restaurant you get the best fish", but also the selection of partners with whom we have been working together for almost decades and have always had great exchange.
And, very importantly, our compensation is not added to the price, but results from a recommendation commission paid by our partners.
Roger, for example, spends several weeks a year as skipper on boardsailing yachts of all sizes. Whether it is 6 weeks in a row in the Caribbean, or for a yacht transfer from Scotland, through the Irish Sea, the Bay of Biscay to Spain, or with Volvo Ocean Race racing yacht across the North Atlantic, his sailing adventures are never conventional.
With this big duffel bag full of experiences and stories, it is clear that he has found his inner peace, and it takes more than big waves and strong winds to bring him out of his calm.
